Book review for Vicious by Victoria Schwab

Picked up this book at Waterstones and though I give it a try as I've been on a bit of a superhero kick at the moment.

The premise of the book seemed a good idea and it started off at a good and steady pace.

However about 150 pages in I started to lose interest and it seemed a chore to try and finish. I'm glad I did as it picked up pace again at about 20 pages from the end.

I didn't care much for the two main characters Victor and Eli, but loved Sydney.

Might pick up the next book in the series.

Medical and the moon

Hello!

Sorry about the delay in updating my blog, I have been so busy with work that I am getting home feeling shattered.

Went for my medical today at Freeman Hospital, as I am going into hospital next Monday for a procedure. The medical went fine, but I am very nervous about the actual procedure.

I am sure that the moon controls my temper, I have noticed that closer it gets to a full moon my temper gets worse. A friend suggested that I could be part werewolf?  

The Tale of two kitties

An odd thing happened last night!

My houemate and I were in the kitchen, she was making her tea and I was having a cup of coffee, when the cat flap went and in strolled 'Niteszche'.

My houemate and I were in the kitchen, she was making her tea and I was having a cup of coffee, when the cat flap went and in strolled Nietzsche'. He went up to my housemate and rubbed himself against her legs as all cats do. We pottered about the kitchen for a few more minutes with 'Nietzche' sitting watching us. Then I went to pick 'Niteszche' up but as I did he growled at me, which he never does. I thought that he might be hurt, so I asked my housemate to have a look, and he growled at her. That is when I noticed that 'Nietzsche' wasn't Nietzsche. It was a different cat that looks almost the same as Nietzsche apart from not having a little white mark on his chest as the real Nietzsche!.

The real Nietzsche was asleep upstairs on my bed..we put the 'none' Nietzsche back outside.

Finally Saturday

Thank Zeus it finally Saturday!

In the past few days, at work, I have felt like a humming bird flitting between two different departments, we need more staff...but I won't get into that on this blog.

I'me starting off the new year by reading

Well 2014 is upon us, and I hoping that it will be more fun filled than 2013 was.

I suppose I better tell you a little bit about myself.

My full name is Caroline but prefer to be called Carrie or Caz, I'm 33 and work for the NHS. I am the owner (well servant to) of a beautiful black cat called Nietzsche who came into my life in 2013.

I am an avid reader and always have a book with me (I feel lost if I don't carry a book) I read most types of fiction.

I'm also a keen photographer, I will post some images soon.
